Creating rhythm in beat makers

Picking the correct drums to get the right sound for trance is a must if you want have the right sound and feel for your track. Trance tracks tend to be quite tight rather than ‘boomy’ this keeps the entire rhythm section sounding fairly strong to produce the four-to-the-floor solidity.

To reproduce for your kick try using a 90 Hz sine wave and modulate it with a positive pitch envelope with medium release. If you can adjust the envelope then try a concave shape rather than convex.
